Currently running a PT OFX3blade 21 pitch. Flashed to 332HP Slight porpoise at midrange without slightly bumping the trim tabs WOT is 60mph @6100rpms. Pretty impressed with speed and whole shot. TTop, 8'powerpole,4 batteries and a trolling motor with 6" jackplate. Any other recommendations on prop. Was curious if anyone has any input on the Yamaha SHO prop?

Hey everyone, I just recently bought a 09 2200 tournament without a t top with a 250 sho. I’m currently running a 17 pitch 4 blade and WOT light is 55mph. I’m wanting to get more top end, where should I start? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone. I have not posted in a while. I recently sold my Pathfinder 2000 V after running it for 18 years and now have the 26 HPS with a 300 Yamaha. I absolutely loved the OFX 4 blade on the old 20 pathfinder. On that boat I think it improved everything - hole shot for sure and even top and speed.

so right now I’m getting 53 mph WOT @ 5800 rpm’s with the wind up my back (I have a tower). It struggles to get to 5800 RPM usually I see 5700. This is with the Yamaha 21 pitch three blade that came with the boat. Acceleration is good, hole shot is not bad- about 2 boat lengths. Should I go to a smaller pitch 4 blade OFX prop? Should I be seeing 6000 Rpm WOT? This boat will be carrying heavier loads for sure and more people.

Cruise at 40 mph 4500 RPMs and get great economy running 30 miles an hour at 3500 RPM. Running light I do get mild porpoising and have to use some trim tab to stop it . Problem comes in when I have three people on board full tank and bait wells running at higher speeds I get worse porpoising and fuel economy suffers-having to tab down more . Would switching to a different prop help correct porpoising an increase fuel economy at heavier loads and not affect light load running? Don’t wanna break the bank for minimal improvement also.

I feel these hulls have been out long enough there should be alot more info out there than what Im seeing.....only thing I can find is people running the stock 3 or the OFX4, come on got to be more out there experimenting?

I just tested an OFX4 19 on mine.... The OFX ran real nice... boat felt lighter and peppier but hole shot tho better than the 3 blade was still a little to long IMO. This prop also lifts the stern alot making it run like the tabs are halfway down. Got me to wondering if the OFX3 would be a good overall mix of the stock 3 and OFX 4. Is no one out there running anything different?

I am looking for an ideal three blade prop for my pathfinder and vmax 225 (04). I have a second station tower as well. I ran a four blade 13.5" that came with the boat for awhile, (Many issues with spinning the hub), then switched to a three blade and liked the performance better (fuel econ and performance). I would like recommendations on a new prop and size.. maybe a saltwater series II HP 15.25", 18 pitch? No expert, just want a good, overall dependable, economical, fuel efficient prop. Thanks for any info shared..

I am now in the market bc a thought a spun my three blade prop but I now think I have a different issue. I was running on plane and the motor just seemed to go out of gear all the sudden (no clanking, just revved up a lot), put it in neutral a few times and got it back up on plane and it would happen again later in the day. It didn't matter if I ran it from either top or bottom station. I took the prop to get re-hubbed (another story) but put it back on and it ran well for a mile or so then it happened again.. Anyone have any thoughts? Something more serious with the lower unit?

Just put a new 175 zuke on my 2002 2200 (Jack plate yes, no top). First try was a turning point four blade 14.5x17; just threw on the old prop from my blown 150 hpdi as a starting point. Result clearly underpropped- quickly reached 6200 with what felt like alot of throttle left. Didn't even take the time to record any data other than recall it ran around 25kts at 5000rpm.

Yesterday I tried a 15.6x19 3-blade, again Turning Point, and got the following numbers:

	RPM MPH

	3000 18.6

	3500 23.8

	3900 27.25

	4500 32

	5000 35.5

	5500 39.3

	5950 42 (WOT)

So, looks like I'm about right on RPM. However, looking at suzuki boat tests and reading forums etc of similar setups (none exact), looks like alot are breaking 50mph or would expect to. Looks like the boats getting those speeds are turning a smaller diam wheel with pitches up to 25". That being said, I am by no means trying to have the fastest 22 bay boat around- most of my time will be scooting around with my wife at 20-30kts. Just don't want to leave alot of performance on the table or for whatever reason to be "propped wrong".

I'm much more interested in handling performance than top end speed. Although it's not terrible with this wheel, I wonder if I'd get a little better hole shot and grip with a 4-blade. If so what would the dimensions be for that prop?

	Any thoughts much appreciated.

My boat has a jack plate and a 4 blade prop currently. It has a top speed of about 40 mph at 4800 rpm. I typically run it at 4300 rpm 30 mph and get around 2 miles per gallon. Seems to be I should be getting closer to 3. I can't read the numbers on my current prop but is this mileage typical or should I be doing better?

I recently bought a Pathfinder 15t with a Yamaha F40. It's currently propped with a Powertech SCB3 13pitch. I'm only making 4800rpm's WOT at 27mph. It is painfully slow to get on plane. Probably around 9 seconds. I have Lenco trim tabs on it and I'm trimmed all the way down to get on plane. I can only come up about 2/3's on trim before it starts to porpoise. I spoke with Powertech and they came up with some suggestions, but my prop guy doesn't agree and made another suggestion. How were these boats propped from the factory in 1999, and what are people running today that seem to work? Thanks

I have a new to me 2007 2200xl F150 25” shaft bobs jack plate no Ttop Current prop is a 3 blade yamaha reliance 19p. It’s a dog. Out of the hold slow and max rpm is 5200 and top speed barely 40mph.

Borrowed the same prop in a 17p and got it up to 5700rpm and 43mph.

What do you guys recommend on this setup? Power tech options that would get me higher revs and higher speed and out of the hole quicker? OFX4 or OFX3 maybe? Which pitch?

Yes a 250hp will be in the future but probably not for another year or so. So best prop I can get for this F150 setup would be appreciated.
