NNFD197
Looking to add a trolling motor to my new to me 2200 TRS. Whatever I go with will have the spot lock gps. Will a 24v be sufficient or should I go 36v? 60” shaft long enough for my 2200 or do I need longer? I’d be fishing mainly inshore & near shore in the Naples and Bonita area. Currently there’s 2 trays in the console just waiting for some TM batteries. I’m guessing I can skoot them over and add a third if need be. My starting battery in under the starboard jump seat and I’ll probably add a house battery under the port jump seat. I have a 2013 TRS with an f250. Thanks in advance
Bamaskeet
A 60” trolling motor will work fine. 24V or 36V choice is based on how much tide and current do you fish in. I’m happy with my 24V.
jason p
I’ve always heard the 60” is the way to go but again it depends how you fish. I do a lot of bottom fishing and kite fishing in my 2500 and the 72” is great when the waves pick up a little bit.

bkh
I have a 60” and 24v on my 2016 2200 TRS and it is great 90% of the time. I have two trolling batteries and the house/starter all agm odyssey and all in the console. No need for more batteries for me. It can be a little harder to hold anchor when the current is really pushing or in two foot swells but again that is a very small amount of the time for what I do. If I were to do over, I would have the same set up.
pbspecial
I would max out on both power and shaft length. You can never have too much thrust and the increased shaft length is nice when it gets a bit rough...

bernieNC
If a 60” shaft is not enough it is time to head for home.

I have the XI5 60" 36 volt. The 72" would hang off the side of a 22' when stowed.

You will not regret buying a Rhodan especially for salt water use. Give them a call and quiz them. 60” & 36 volt is what I would do. That is what I have on my 2500.

Exceptional service. Love mine. When I have had issues they send a courier to my house, pick up the motor and have it back inside of a week. I live about an hour and 15 mins away. I drove it there one time for a repair. It took me longer to get there than it did for them to fix it and send me on my way.
