NCTribute
What do you do with your push pole when traveling and staying overnight at a hotel? Something to worry about or not? I have a cover, but will not completely cover the pole.
whichwaysup
Man, I worry about this too. My last boat had a PVC pipe attached to the trailer bunks which hid the pole out of sight and allowed it to be locked and secured. I've not set that up for my current trailer because I rarely travel overnight with her (and my pushpole is a cheap moonlighter). IF your trailer is long enough, the PVC option may be the simplest way to minimize the risk of theft (or it bouncing off the boat)
SouthernWake
For long trips I will zip tie mine into the holders.
hawg
I sleep with mine in the room. They're too *** expensive to leave out in plain sight.

How would you get it into the room? Unless you have an older motel with doors that open to the outside, there is no way you will get a pole from a hallway into a room, and unless you are on the ground floor into an elevator. knotthereelworld
I hid my older, shorter 19' under my truck when parked in the parking lot. It seemed much less obvious zip tied up under the truck. My current 22 foot Stiffy I leave on the boat because the triangular end has a hole in it. I run a bike lock through there and then lock it around the trailer.

hawg
I basically just stay at "motor hotels" (motels) where you enter and leave your room without using a hallway or lobby. Use the outside stairs or pole-vault to the second story.
Big Dave
I have taken it into the hotel room through windows (even on the second floor), left it in the lobby behind the counter (with the manager's blessing), and hidden it in the bushes next to the hotel. I would never leave it on the boat.
linesider 159
Life is too short to lose sleep over a push pole. My triangle foot had a hole in it and I used a bike lock on it. If you can't do that I would just run it under the trailer and zip tie it to the frame. Odds of someone stealing it are somewhat low, since it's not exactly the easiest thing to transport. I'd be more worried about a trolling motor
polliwog
If you're up north,no one even knows what it is.LOL I have had a 22ft graphite pole on my hewes in a marina in CT for 20 yrs with no problem. Naples Fl would be a different story. Down south my maverick and pole live in the garage.
