geeviam
Looks great! Nice welds on the tank. You will love the DF90 - lots of torque, and 9 MPG at 4000 RPM.

Capt Seaweed
I repowered with a yami 70 its 34 MPH top end and hole shot is good not great...its a 70HP man! I am 320 my fishing buddy is 180 so if you in that range 500 lbs people 100lbs gear ice water you will be happy it rides great and it doesn't let water in the scuppers

DBKEYS
Thanks to everyone who commented on this project. Covid delayed things and as you know engines have been hard to get. I went with F70 primarily because of weight and the balance of the boat. Overall I am happy though I miss the acceleration of my 28yo 2 stroke Yamaha 90. Boat meets my needs but a bit underpowered. It is all a compromise. Most of my trips are only about 1/2 hr to the flats etc. Pro: -perfect fit and size under my poling platform -same balance as with 2 stroke, scuppers not underwater -can pole boat no problem -hardly burns gas -Very quiet which is an absolute pleasure, wonderful idle cruise and does not scare critters away - does not spit oil -with hydraulic steering handling is improved, also no spray from engine so back stays dry when running -prop dependent, went with PowerTech SCD316, turns 6200-6300 with decent hole shot, had ported 5/16 - adequate hole shot, I use lots of trim tab changes Performance, 1-2 people, 15 gal gas: 6200rpm - 36mph 4900-5100 - 29mph cruise 4300 - 26mph Similar numbers with Bimini, also good acceleration from about 4000-6000 LOVE THIS OLD BOAT
