mikep
I have a Simrad NSS 9 in my dash and I just installed a Simrad NSS 7 on the bow and ran an ethernet cable between the two I see the sonar that is connected to the NSS9 and selected it. However I have not had the boat in the water yet and it’s not displaying the water temperature will I be able to get depth and temp just threw the Ethernet cable? I’m using a single 3n1 transducer on the transom no other transducers installed. Thanks
linesider 159
Go to sonar page and select the transducer you want the front unit to read from in the options menu. In all fairness this is what I had to do with lowrance and hummingbird, haven't done it with simrads
Marathon Man
Temp probes transmit data via NMEA 2000.
FINCHASER
Are you getting the water temp reading on the 9? Im not sure if the 3 n 1 provides that info and dont see it mentioned in the product description where I looked. If think the 7 should be able to display any info available on the 9.... I believe it involves going into the menu on the 7 and selecting the source for the info you want to be retrieved from the
