C-Los Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 Does anyone have a quick release bracket mounted on a MA 17' for a Riptide Terrova ? Is the aluminium under plate mounted forward enough to catch the screws?
C-Los Posted February 5, 2020 Author Report Posted February 5, 2020 NOTE: the Maverick support team at the factory said that the plate is forward enough to allow for the mounting of a Riptide Terrova.
pondfisher Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Yes it is. I had Mac and Woody of Central Gulf Coast Marine mount mine and halfway through the job they pointed out the plate to me which was mounted all the way up to the front in order to catch the screws. You're all good!
pondfisher Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 You can see how far forward my Terrova is in these pics.
C-Los Posted March 19, 2020 Author Report Posted March 19, 2020 thanks, how fast is does the your MA 17 go with F115 SHO?

I am really liking the backrest setup on your boat... Can you share some of those details please? Maybe a couple pics of the mounting area if you would, that idea is very interesting!
Inshore1 Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 Pondfisher, I am looking to install a casting platform on the front of my 21 MA and wondering what you use to connect the turnbuckle to? I will be straddling the same large hatch up front but still need to be able to get inside for safety gear incase of an emergency etc... is there something you can replace the latch with that the buckle can attach to but still be able to get inside? Nice sled by the way...

This is with a Yami Talon 4 blade 16 pitch prop. Would be more like 45 mph if I went up to a 17 pitch. But I love the hole shot with the 16 pitch/4 blade combo. Lifts the boat out of the water in like two seconds. So much torque/force you have to lift off the throttle before too long!

Nice sled by the way... It's tricky and not ideal. The turnbuckle is fastened straight through that large lid. Problem is, when you turn it to tighten down platform to boat, it pulls up on the lid. So we DID replace the latch with a stainless catch so that it would hold the lid down firm while tightening the turnbuckle. BUT... it does put some strain on the lid. I'll send some pics later.
