Flatschaser
Have a 2001 2200v and want to replace the old plastic bilge pump thru hull in the picture. Issue is how you get to it to replace it? Has anyone replaced one in this model? I know it’s through the back hatch but there is a wall of fiberglass, maybe add a access port to get to it?? jim33042
I posted a replacement on a 2000 18 bayfisher
polliwog
I could never believe why a quality builder would put plastic fitting in an area that is not accessible for replacement. My Maverick has a stainless fitting, my 20 LT has a plastic part . Probably cost 20 buck more for a quality fitting,DUH. really!!
Coto
You are going to have to cut an access hole. Mine has one on the back on the deck cause the hatch was a no go being a release well. Polliwog is right about the plastic. My thru hulls underneath the boat were in bad shape and I just replaced them to all stainless and added a seacock valve to the live well pump that they didn’t install back then....peace of mind.

The chrome is gone on mine and down to the brass. I do have a timeline to replace them along with the valves however. O.P. before the cap goes on it is real easy to install that fitting, but do agree they should have used a more durable product. My Angler from factory 21 years ago did, that's why I am down to brass now.
Flatschaser
Thanks guys! I plan on cutting a access hole to replace it. Seems like the only option.

Coto
Get a hold of Bob at inshore marine specialties when he gets back from north Florida where he is trying to avoid Corona. I think he will be back April 14 or 17.
Flatschaser
Does anyone know the size of that thru-hull? I think it’s 1.5” but left the boat up in North Florida so I don’t have it here to measure.
SCFD rtrd.
If it's the bilge discharge, it's not 1 1/2". More like 3/4". Hopefully someone with first hand knowledge will give the definitive answer.
jahern2000
Can you please post the through hull replacement part numbers and where you purchased them? I have a 2002 Pathfinder 2200v that I want to retro fit the live well through hull drains with seacoks. A broken drain hose almost cost me the boat! One other thing, I'm a first time boat owner. Can you tell me the best way to do the retrofit? How do I remove the old hardware and the proper method to install the new hardware.
jim33042
From the redo on the link in a previous post here, the diameter was 1 1/8”.
