TommyG
I have 2 speakers on the front of the storage boxes of my 2004 2200V and wanted to add 2 more speakers. I was going to mount them on the console, but it was suggested that I mount them on the back of the boat in front of the storage hatches. looking for opinions on best spots to mount second set of speakers. FunFlatsFishing
I have two on the center console and two on the front storage hatches. My amp is mounted on the inside of the console as well.
smilemaker
Put them on the inside of the gunnel straight across from where you stand to drive. You will get better sound under way and rarely is there a cooler there to hit them. In the rear there is more chance of coolers etc to hit them. Perfect when running the boat

CG RYAN
Hey Tommy, I am about to mount two speakers on my forward lockers like you have. Do you know how the speaker wire was ran from the console? I need to order some wire and am wondering how "direct" of a run it is. Thanks
FL-PATHFINDER
I ran my wires through the rigging tubes under the console forward to the rod lockers..However, it may be much easier to run 2 set of wires on the right side rigging tube and just run one set of wires around the front to the left side... Not much room in the left side rigging tubes
TommyG
Hey CG Ryan, I do not know how they ran the wires for the front speakers, they were already mounted on the boat. Thank you for all the tips! I got the JBL Bluetooth stereo that looks like a gauge to replace the large Clarion that is there now. didn't think get an AMP because I didn't think it would be necessary. does an AMP really make that much of a difference?
