DaveVero
Fished since December 2 and it has been off and on. Snook have been hitting live shrimp and DOA . Black drum have showed up with some cooler water but the number of fish is way down. Some flounder being caught on live mullet with the largest I have seen around 30 inches. Just not many people targeting them right now. Pompano where around the beaches during the last week but moved with the dirty water that showed up. Difficult to find flees so most people using jigs .Off-shore was good last week with Kings being caught and large AJs on pin fish and blue runners.

Shallowminded6
Went out again yesterday in Wabasso after getting off work, fished maybe 1.5 hours. Tough fishing in the wind and tides werent in my favor, but managed 1 snook about 24”. Still plenty of mullet around. Ended up just cruising and island hopping with the kidos.
DaveVero
It has been tough fishing around Sebastain since the cold water moved in . Pilchards are everywhere in the inlet but not a lot of fish. Even reds who are normally like clockwork this time of the years are not really thick. Some reds being caught drifting the incoming tide drifting the center of the inlet. Pompano are few and far because there just does is not any flees on the beach. You can catch all the Spanish and blues you want if that is what you prefer.

DaveVero
Snook bite is really off this year. Normally after the six week break without pressure the snook would really bite. Not this year. I say the snook slot limit should change to limit the number of harvested fish. If they can change the bluefish harvest to 3 fish they can surely change snook. We will see once the water warms up if the bite turns on. Joey found the black drum but too rough for me to chase them. Some cobra on Manta’s along the beach but wave height makes chasing them difficult.
jh141
Great Report Dave, Love the Cobia Riding the Manta Pic. The reports are that the Snook have been slow to show and bite on the west coast to. I can say they are doing really well in South ENP. We have been finding large packs of juveniles and some real slobs up shallow when it gets cold. It has been a very mild start to winter this year.....maybe got them confused LOL
Shallowminded6
Not a great “fishing report” but we went out and caught a blacked out baitwell in a few casts. There was tons of bait around and my son caught a bunch of jack and mangroves. Along with a mother in law fish. Lots of fun
Shallowminded6
Went out yesterday. Tons of bait around the islands. Tons of jacks around the islands. Got one nice snook that wouldve probably came home a week or so ago.

Shallowminded6
Did a little trip with my nephew mid morning til about 1. Caught a few small-medium snook and lost one at the boat that was close to the 40” mark. Snapped the line (#20 leader) before I could grab her as it was too big for my net.
DaveVero
Fished the last week at Sebastain Inlet and fishing has been tough for snook. Caught two slot fish on opining day but very few slot fish were caught, The bite is on Shrimp as they has been flowing on the outgoing tide and no other bait is in the inlet. Pompano has been great from the beach using fleas although finding fleas has been difficult . Cleaner water has been holding the fish.
