NNFD197
Hey guys, any chance some of you can post pics of where you mounted your transducer on your transom? My 2013 has never had one mounted there before so I'm looking for some ideas. I got a couple from FB but looking to see a couple more. Thanks in advance. Bamaskeet
I suggest you mount the transducer next to the drain plug, so you will have a bottom reading at all speeds.

So 2 different people on another forum have theres on that location, and suggested the same thing. Thank you for your comment.
smilemaker
Placing it in the pocket works well. The further you go from the plug the better for the prop but the transom of the pocket has a curve that complicates mounting. It may sound strange but you can mount it to the top of the pocket using pvc board as a spacer for the bracket to bring it to the proper relation to the hull bottom and get it further to the right.
Hookiemonster
There are many different kinds of transducers and the wake that they create can be different. I would be careful of mounting anything directly in front of the prop as the turbulence will affect the efficiency of the prop. Go as far from the plug as possible if in that pocket. I had cavitation issues until I moved my ducer. my $.
