CNORR
1999 1806T - Did I buy a Unicorn? I recently purchased a 1806T with a Suzuki DF115 on it. Does anyone know anything about this hull? I can not find any information on it. Why did they stop making the 1806T ? Were there issues with the tunnel on the 1806T? If you have or have had one please let me know the draft while running or any information that you think will be good for me to know. johnd
someone more knowledgeable than I will respond... I just bought a 2002 1900V. I think the 18 evolved as did the 1900... into different hulls. heck, buddy still fishes his 17T in skinny water. Welcome to the family. Enjoy. With the Tunnel you will be able run pretty skinny.... There is a forum member "HOBO" who fished one for many years.....I probably should have waited around and looked for one before I bought my MA17, but, they are very rare if they are in "good" condition. Draft should be about 10-12 inches WOT should be in the high 30's low 40's depending the prop. DC
smilemaker
Here is a good read for tunnel hulls. https://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/667395-tunnel-hulls-16-class-flats-boats.html I used to think they were necessary to fish shallow but in reality the tunnel in my opinion is only useful when on plane hauling butt.
