Uncle Rico Posted January 24, 2021 Report Share Posted January 24, 2021 Hey Gang - I hate the rubber drain plug in the HPX-s. Its a wrestling match every time I go down into the bilge area to pull or insert it. Looking for any info on what some of you may have replaced it with. I would much prefer a screw in plug of some sort. Saw one thread but I think it was referring to the other HPX models. Really tight and small area down there to work with. Also those of you with the HPX-s' also know there is a brass sleeve in the drain hole to accept the standard rubber plug. I would love to find a screw in type of plug. Anyone got any ideas? Headhunter Posted January 25, 2021 Report Share Posted January 25, 2021 I feel your pain. I took one of those rubber plugs and cut about 1/4 inch off the end and reassembled.
