CG RYAN Posted February 8, 2016 Report Share Posted February 8, 2016 Mike I think (not 100%) that the rating changed in 04. My 21MA was rated for a 225 and I ran a 250 with no issues. When comparing engines most of the weights are nearly identical because a lot of times it is the same engine with different tuning. I think some of the reason is because in the early 2000's a 250hp engine wasnt nearly as common. Shoot now we have some builders hanging 400hp supercharged engines on flats boats.
