whichwaysup
Hey all - Just got my HDS 7 in and realized that I've got a bit of a problem. I have been using an Elite HDI on the boat, which has a swivel built into the base. I fish from the bow a lot and turn it around so I can monitor depth. The new HDS mount doesn't swivel around. What solutions are available? ANy recommendations?
Ksayles44
I have an HDS 9 and I use a ram mount to do this. I can hold it secure in multiple orientations including turning it to the bow when I'm using the trolling motor. Was a little pricey but I don't think its going to fail any time soon. FINCHASER
Ram mounts are great but if it doesn't fit your needs and you want to keep it low these are the ticket http://www.johnnyraysports.com/swivel%20mounts.htm
16bayfisher
Ram mount is awesome! Be warned you will end up putting on on everything once you get one. Bicycle truck etc!
whichwaysup
Awesome, thanks folks. I liked that Johnny Ray mount - nice price, but my steering wheel is so high, I think I'm going to have to go with the Ram. Just need to find one that doesn't break the bank after spending $$$$ on the HDS.
