whichwaysup
Hey all - Nothing like upgrading to great technology to remind you what an idiot you are. So I got the unit installed, transducer wires pulled, transducers mounted. Power on, life is good. Now I want to use it . . . and the questions begin: 1) Does anyone have any clue where I would find the WIFI p***code to view/control this on my tablet? I have looked everywhere in the instruction manual, but no luck. 2) I have an insight chart card. IF I put it in the Micro SD slot, will the unit read it automatically, or do I need to upload it to the unit? Many other questions are likely to follow, but that is all this little brain can handle for today.
NCTribute
At least on my older HDS, you do not upload the maps, it reads it from the card. For the maps there should be a setting, you pick either the map pre-installed or the installed card(s). This shows where to get the wireless p***code. RipTide
Don't you need the Lowrance WIFI-1 Go Free Wifi Module #LOW00011068001 to do what you want? No mention of you having one.

Zfactor
To access your wifi p***word you need to do the following: Hit the home key (top right) Hit settings Scroll down to wireless Then on main screen tap wireless devices Lastly a window pops up, and tap that window and your wifi key comes up. Hope this helps.
whichwaysup
Thanks all! Yep, on Gen 3 WIFI is internal. That little step of clicking on "wireless devices" isn't very intuitive! Working great now! Looking forward to testing it on the water tomorrow. I suspect there will be MANY more questions after that!
