New port richey

I’m down here working at the power plant and I brought my little 1436 jon boat. It currently only has a 55lb trolling motor on it until I can get back to the house and grab my 6hp engine. Anyone know where i can go to catch some reds, snook, or trout? More looking for a snook ( it’s a bucket list fish of mine since we don’t get them in Pensacola)

I live on the cotee river. I don't know where you intend to put your boat in at. But as far as snook just look at a topo map of the area and you'll see several creeks that open up into the flats. Take some mud minnows or pin fish if you're not an artificial guy. Fishing on a float or free line around the mouth of the creeks and the mangrove lines. And you shouldn't have any trouble hooking up with a few snook. Rocky Creek, double hammock Creek, the mouth of North and south channel of Gulf harbors has a lot of rocks and spoils. Just to get you started. Good luck
