Bruce J
I’ve owned my boat for 11 years, but went to use the bait well for only the second time. I think the first time was my first day on the water with it back in 2010. My boat has the “new” cap and hatch configuration. I was sure there was a seacock to open to bring in the water, but if so I have failed to find it in the very few places I’ve thought to look. Any clues? SCFD rtrd.
Seacock should be in the bilge, on the riser that is attached to the hull. If not there, look into the live-well where the water discharges. Sometimes they have a shutoff on the discharge port.
Bruce J
Understood and thanks, but there is very, very limited access to the bilge. I’ve looked into the 3 areas where I can get any access and don’t see it. Two of the areas are so tight I can hardly get my hand in there. That well is designed to pick up water through an extended standpipe through the through hull in the bottom of the well. You should have an extended sleeve that goes into the standpipe that protrudes from the bottom of the boat, that picks up water while underway.
