Docsuds
Anyone come up with a good place for the fire extinguisher? I currently keep mine in the larger slot in the front seat flip-out, but I'd rather have that slot for another Plano tackle box. Ideas? Thanks, Scott
Headhunter
I mounted mine inside of the leaning post. I can check the gauge every time I open it and it's covered but easy to get to
FINCHASER
I zip tied the holder to the large bundle of wires / cables that come up from the floor of the inside of the console so the extinguisher is standing just inside the console door
Wanaflatsfish
I zip tied the holder to the large bundle of wires / cables that come up from the floor of the inside of the console so the extinguisher is standing just inside the console door I was always told NOT to place the fire extinguisher in the the console...or rigging area. Why? Where do you think an electrical fire will begin? in the console... Best to keep it under the leaning post seat or another area for easy access... I have mine under the seat now, but, am moving it outside to an open area when I have a chance... dc

TRosson
Mine is mounted on the T-top metal tubing close to the floor. 4x4 offroaders mount fire extinguishers on roll bars. I believe this is the one I used. Works really well and is right there if I need it. http://www.fourtreks.com/modular_fire_extinguisher_mount.html
FINCHASER
Calculated risk... if its electrical in the console and I cant get to the extinguisher Ill get the bucket I keep on deck and douse it with water... probably more effective than the dry chem anyhow
