Desperado213
Im looking at changing out my old teleflex steering in my Lappy 99 RF18 and looking into Uflex Hydraulic steering or Baystar System. According to everything ive read, The splashwell size requirements from both companies are just outside the size of my splashwell. My question is is anyone here with and older RF18 with 115 yamaha 2 stroke running hydraulic steering WITHOUT A JACKPLATE successfully and which system? I also may just replace it with a UFlex NFB steering or another teleflex. Thanks!

Desperado213
I'm pretty sure the splashwell on you 2003 is larger than mine.
Wanaflatsfish
Check the UFLEX - I had the same issue on my MA17....it has to do with how you have to attach it to the engine. I used the UFLEX....it works fine. DC
