Gmullek
I am wanting to upgrade the trolling motor on my 2000V Pathfinder. I'm concerned about bow roller interference since the GPS controlled trolling motors have some overhang (don't want to rip it off when launching). What are folks doing to prevent this? When I look at the front of my boat and where I think I would have to mount the quick release bracket, it looks like the bow cleat may have to go to give adequate clearance from the bow roller. FINCHASER
I have an Xi5 on a 20 pathy. I used a MK19 QD mount as I like the design better over MG's and it clears the cleat. I have no issue with bow roller clearance.... usually if you do its because the trailer is in too deep then the rear of the boat floats up which in turn brings the bow down and causes the contact with the bow roller. The boat ramp setup (angle) can have an effect on this so in some cases it can attribute to this issue.
Gmullek
Thanks for the input. How do you like the Xi5?
FINCHASER
I don't like it I love it! Several friends have the MK... it does not hold a spot near as well and tend to just shut off the anchor function at random... usually when your on just the right spot.
