croakersmoker Posted March 22, 2022 Report Share Posted March 22, 2022 I have the platform that came on the boat from what I can tell. See photo. The footings on the port side have loosened from the deck and the screws are stripped out of the glass. I understand that there isn't access to change screws out to bolts and add backing. Does anyone have a solution for this problem besides using larger dia screws? On a side note, I have been wanting a taller tower to improve my visibility. I have a step up to the platform on my backrest, so I wouldn't have any issue getting up there. Has anyone altered this platform to raise it? I have seen other boats where people will add UHMW pads between the boat and footings but I'm not crazy about the idea. I am trying to add roughly a foot to the platform.
