redzone1
How much have you guys been paying your shop for vst fuel filer changes. I know how much the parts cost.....the $600 labor pill is pretty hard to swallow. I would think a professional could handle this start to finish in under an hour. rckeat
I did mine myself and I'm not Yamaha Certified mechanic. An hour should be more than enough time to do the job.
blue dolphin
I've done it multiple times on 200 hpdis, easier if you disconnect entire tank and do it on the bench, less than one hour.be careful you don't strip out the Philips heads. Use an impact drill in reverse to back out. Stainless screws in aluminum tank.use anti seize on re***embly.
ChrisB
2.5 hours labor + parts for a 4 stroke VST if your getting injectors cleaned they should be $25 a piece to clean, flow test, and change the filter.

ChrisB
His sig has 250 SHO thats what I quoted. The 4 strokes don't have the mystery filters like the HPDI. The VST pump on a four stroke is the high pressure fuel pump, on the HPDI the VST is the medium pressure pump supplying fuel to the belt driven high pressure pump

hurricane
What is their hourly rate? Even if you gave them two hours, still wouldn't think it cost that much.
FL-PATHFINDER
Never mind, thought we were talking about an HPDI
