Headhunter
Fished with the admiral Sunday. I enjoyed the sunshine while she skipped baits under docks for reds. I heard load dripping noises from the rigging compartment and found water dripping from the air pump hose where it penetrated the live well. Today I put a silicone bead around the hose on both sides of the live well. That should fix it but I reinstalled the stand pipe and it stands at least 2 inches above both the air pump hose and the channel drain hose where it penetrates the rear of the live well. I did gook the drain hose as well and am considering cutting down the stand pipe. Am I making am mountain out of a mole hill here or not? Tender
Could always have a shorter tube and a longer one. On this subject. Anyone put and on/off on their drain to stop water from standing in the livewell at rest when not being used? If so pics or what you used? Moderator
Chuck, I always like a standpipe well below the upper drain. It just makes sense.. The bait sloshes some but it keeps the water level in the better zone in case it get plugged by dead Baits, etc. Marc
