It appears that the head of it hangs out past the rub rail line by about a foot. I intentionally measured and mocked up my mounting location before making it permanent so I wouldn't have to worry about my trolling motor head hanging over the edge of the boat. Not long before I mounted mine, I saw a guy pull up to dock and he almost tore the TM off when the head hung up on one of the dock pilings. Yes, you are correct; however, my head is 72" and when I mounted it, it was almost impossible to not have overhang....that being said, it's one of those things you become very aware of when coming to the dock.... dc 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
