SeaSerpent123
The wife and I had a great trip you all. Low winds but the water was still a little dirty in some areas. Shrimp were on the medium size so not terrible yet. We put in on the outside and ran to our first spot. Ended up catching 3 NICE size trout and a spanish mack to bring home. Hooked a small permit so I can techancally say I caught a permit....lol and missed something big shortly after. I'm going to say it was a shark just to make myself feel better. As we were runnign around, I kepted seeing triple tail just laying in the open ocean so we stopped and one came home with us as well. We continued to run the beach some and then decided to head inside and play with the snook. I caught 2 small snook before I lost what appeared to be a slot size snook on it's third jump. That one hurt, I mean it stung bad. Of course the biggest fish hits on the smallest rods and 20 pound leader is not cutting it. Ended the day early and headed back to the ramp about 1:00 for the long ride home. Final tally.....3 trout, 1 mack, 1 triple tail. Can't complain at all!
