croakersmoker
The capacity plate has worn off on my 1997 bayfisher 16 and I need to find a replacement. Can anyone provide a picture of this plate for this hull? Does anyone have a good avenue for getting a new plate? Thanks, CS
jim33042
Try this... I have a 2000 18 bayfisher, the second one was mine... you are most likely the first one 4 person/600lbs, 1135 lbs total, 90HP https://www.fpmarine.com/Hewes-s/157.htm
polliwog
It's very interesting that the capacity seems the same with different size boats. I'm speaking of # of passengers. I feel my 20 LT is full with 4 adults and I wouldn't think a 16 would have the same adult capacity . Anyway it's interesting.
jim33042
The plate gives you the same number of persons(note "persons" not "adults"), but the total person/gear weight limits are different..
croakersmoker
Thanks for the response @jim33042 @polliwog I still haven't been able to nail down what I am rated for. I had a 90hp, I've never seen a Bayfisher with a bigger motor, and I am worried that 90 is my max HP. With that being said, I have seen a few Bonefishers around that have 115 HP motors. Isn't the Bonefisher smaller than my boat? I would really like to go with a SHO 115, but I want to be able to insure the boat. Still looking for any additional advice. Thanks in advance. OrtegaOyster
If I'm not mistaken the plate on our 97 Bayfisher is Max HP : 90 and max person: 3. I'll try to remember to take a pic and post it
