Gulfcoast
I have a 2000 model 2200V that I am looking to repower. I do not have the sticker but I believe it is rated up to 225HP but I have seen several a few years newer with 250HP motors. Does anybody know when it changed and if my 2000 can handle a 250? I contacted my insurance company and they are telling me to get something from Pathfinder stating what my hull is rated at and whether or not I can go up to a
Miss Jazzy
I believe it was in '04.
FINCHASER
04 ish sounds about right with this caveat... I beleive the 20" transom pathys had the lower horsepower rating and the 25" had a higher one. At some point all the pathys went with the 25" so no more 20" option. Gulfcoast
I am looking at the yamaha SHO's and it is my understanding that the 200, 225, and 250HP motors are all the same weight just different programming. Not sure what all goes into determining what the hull is rated for?
JEM
I have a 2007 2200V, with a 20" Yamaha F150. It is rated for a 250.

Not sure what all goes into determining what the hull is rated for? There is no doubt it can handle a 250 SHO. I've seen them before but you stated your insurance co. was wanting to know what it was rated for. I would talk more to them about it before I made any decisions. You also got to take in consideration that in '00 any motor over 225hp was a lot heavier than they are today.
hurricane
Looking at NADA looks your boat might be max rated at 225. http://www.nadaguides.com/Boats/2000/Pathfinder-Boat-Co-Inc/2200-V-CC_/10134811/Specs
nhinshoreangler
My 05 has a 20" transom and is rated for 250. I think the change was 03-04.
