SeaSerpent123 Posted August 1, 2022 Report Share Posted August 1, 2022 We started out the day trying for tarpon. They were busting all around us but the water clarity was poor. After about a hour of trying, it was off to triple tail some. Didn't find a keeper but Dad really liked it so I'll have to take him back sometime doing just a triple tail day. Soon after, Brad hooked up to something big. Acted just like a cobia and after a jump and seeing it on the surface and NO dorsal fin, I say it was. We fought that fish for 1 hour before the hooked pulled. It hurt bad but it happens. Anyway, next up was Dad. Just before he hooked up, I saw a permit on the surface and with in seconds, dad was on. His first one and wow what a fight. Throw some trout and also missing a few more big fish and the day was over.
