Transom crack

It is all glass in my 97 bayfisher 16. I bought my boat with a crappy patch over the same area on both sides of the engine. I had my fiberglass guy remove and put a new patch that spanned both areas, and under the motor. I never saw the condition without a patch, but would expect something similar. We determined that the structural integrity of the transom was fine and this crack was from trailering the boat without a transom saver. I bought a transom saver after my repair and never looked back. Literally! I just hung a 70lb heavier motor on the boat and will respond here if the cracks surface through the patch. Hope this helps!
