jacks986
I am away from boat so I cant take measurements, I have a 98 Bayfisher 16 and would like to install a Minn Kota PowerDrive with remote and was wondering if a 46 shaft is enough or do I need to go with a 54 inch shaft. I know the 54 wil work but at the same time I want to keep the shaft to a minimum since I fly fish and usually have fly line all over the deck. Any advice of a pic of your Powerdrive is appreciated. SaltySouth
I have the 54 on my 18 light tackle. It’s good for spot lock in a little chop and it fits in the cockpit when I store it under the cover.
Capt Obvious
I have a 2007 Redfisher 16. I went with the Motorguide 48” shaft. I fish really shallow most of the time so the motor usually hits bottom before the boat does. With the motor all the way down I can still fish in about as much chop as I wish to in that little boat without the prop cavitation.
