croakersmoker
I stuck with the mechanical steering through my repower due to clearance issues in my splash well. When my new motor is trimmed up for push poling, I can't keep it from turning to one side and resting against the poling platform. To prevent this, I'll usually tie the steering wheel to keep it from spinning. I've seen hydraulic steer chocks to prevent this when trailering. I was wondering if anyone has seen something similar for mechanical steering. Thanks in advance!
SCFD rtrd.
You can build your own using PVC pipe. Just measure the distance needed when the motor is trimmed up and straight. Slice the PVC longways (like a hot-dog bun) and snap over the steering rod.

I have a four stroke 115 on mine and it doesn't "spin" to the side..
