Flamingo Backcountry

No evidence of a storm except for one wayward sail boat on the west coast twenty feet or so up into the mangroves. Gives you good evidence of just how high the water was.

There are mullet of every size and white bait, mostly pilchards in every creek and crevice. I am used to seeing tons of bait this time of year but this is extraordinary. 

Caught Snook, triple tail, trout, way to many catfish and lady fish. Had a couple tarpon grab free lined mullet but they did not stay connected very long. I would rate the fishing slow right now. (likely because there is so much bait)

Looking forward to this winter.
