Ketchafew
I recently acquired a 2022 2200TRS and need to buy a cover. I talked to BCD regarding both Carver and Shortex. Regarding the Shortex, they state for years 2010-2019. The person I talked to couldn't tell me if the Shortex would fit a 2022. Was there a significant change from 2019 to 2020-2? For Carver I asked how to handle the Jack plate and they said go to the next size. So 2300HPS?? That brought up more questions they couldn't answer. BCD has good reviews, does anyone have and experiences with this? I'd prefer to have motor cover separate from the boat cover reason I was asking about Shortex. jh141
I have a 2012 2200 TRS and have had two Shoretex Covers from BCD. They are excellent semi custom covers. My first was black, To Hot.... I sold it. My current is Tan, much better. They have both fit very well. I have a separate cover for my Yamaha SHO. I do "not" have a Tee Top and remove my Trolling Motor. I Can "not" say if the years are the same or not. I have seen the 2022 and the overall dimensions do not look different than my 2012. TerryS
Here is what I got . The motor hood will scratch the top of your outboard if you don’t put an engine cover on. But overall it’s not bad . 2020 22 TRS

The reason I ask is they told me to order one size up for the jack plate. There is only one size for the TRS so was a but confused.

I do not think you would need to go one size bigger for a jackplate on the 2200. The JackPlate makes up for the "Recessed Transome" if that makes sense. I've been running a 2002 RD16 for the last 10+ years and it's very low tech...analog gauges and such. I'm sure I'm going to have some questions like....the Simrad GO12 doesn't recognize the Yamaha command link, I'm guessing there is a cable still required to attach it to the network? jh141
Yes, There is a NEMA 2000 network involved and then a cable from the Yamaha Hub to the NEMA 2000. Just start a thread on the subject and lots will chime in. It has been a few years since I did mine but I do not think much has changed. Hampton
I had Seemore in Tampa make mine, I thought was a reasonable price.
