villar31
To make a long story short, just bought a 1991 Bonefisher, previous owner started sanding the nonskid on one side because he was going to put seadeck, never happened, well I now have the port side sanded and the starboard side with the original beautiful nonskid, I am pretty sure I am screwed and will have to with a new nonskid or is there a way to get the pattern of the original nonskid...thanks in advance . Artlow12
I had a gelcoat repair done, and I think the guy who did it used gauze to match the pattern of the non-skid of the gel coat that he layed down. It may be worth practicing with a small amount of gel coat before you sand it all down.
John B
Heard about this on a Whaler forum, but have never seen it in actual use. https://gibcoflexmold.com/patterns/ jb
MikeH
I had a 1991 Hewes Redfisher. I remember making a modification to a rod holder sized hole in the deck. I don't know where you are, but I had "The Boat Doctor" in Tampa fill in the hole and also had them match the existing gelcoat. The end product was perfect. I was surprised and amazed. If you can't find anyone to match the non-skid, maybe sand the entire deck and start fresh.
