They have established an office specifically for this purpose and a Chief Bay Officer to oversee the operations. For those of us that grew up on the bay, you know how the health of the bay impacts our lives and our hobbies. Because the bay needs our help the State is allowing Miami Dade County to establish a license plate for this very purpose, proceeds will go to help the restoration and maintenance of the bay. In order for this to take effect there needs to be a pre-order of 3,000 plates to make the purchase of the plates a permanent fixture.
