Drummer
Looks like a have a bad switch for my starboard trim tab on the Hewes LT18. Does anybody know of a good source for the OE switch? Thanks in advance. Dave

HarleyG8r
If it's not a Lenco brand switch, it's probably one of these. 6 terminal (DPDT) momentary on/off/momentary on Carling Contura. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marine-20-Amp-DPDT-Contura-Rocker-Switch-3-Pos-Mom-On-Off-Mom-On-Seachoice-12941-/301853197004?hash=item4647da42cc:g:oFMAAOSwqYBWoD~n&vxp=mtr
hurricane
Just checking, have you verified its not the actuator? They are much more likely to go bad than a switch.
Drummer
That looks like the switch. I'll check the numbers tonight. Thanks.

lotsofknots
Just a thought-If your switch is bad check backside for corrosion and if found re-seal your gage panel with a silicone bead on the top side. I lost a few toggle switches on my RF16 until I I figured that out. (West Marine has those trim tab switches if you want to pay the premium)
Drummer
Here's the update. I took the switch apart and cleaned it up on the inside. Tested resistance. Zero. Hotwired from battery source to trim tab actuator on existing wires. Low voltage, high resistance. Hotwired directly to actuator. Actuator works great. Running new wires now, going to do both while I am at it. Thanks for all the tips!
