Hi y’all. I need expert advice. looking at trading in my aluminum 18 foot boat toward a big boy boat and am looking at a 2014 PF 2300HPS with a 250SHO, 530 hours. Unknown maintenance records, I asked the dealership for any and might be able to find out hopefully.

I live in Crawfordville FL and fish Apalachee bay, and rarely go down to Englewood for weekend trips. My main fishing is inshore with artificial and rarely live bait. I’ve got a wife and two kids, 4 and 2 years old. I like the idea of the 2300 as it has features that make it a hardcore fishing rig, but it does have seating for my family on rare days that I take them with me. 90% of my trips are me and a buddy fishing, I usually take the kids and wife on joy rides only because they can’t sit still yet for hours on end. Someday soon.

My question mainly is for 49k is a boat with 530 hrs a no-go? I know these 4.2 Yamahas can go the distance with high hours if taken care of. I need some advice on what might be some pros and cons to this decision, if possible. The boat appears immaculate and has a t top and a power pole, TM and on board charger as well. Thanks for your help.

In this market this seems fair. The hrs are ok. Would have an engine inspection and survey done just to be on the safe side. If everything checks out and you buy, have a complete engine service done so you have a starting point to go from including a comp check.
