I tie flies for striped bass up here in the Northeast. Thought it would interest the group here since most are down south. Great larger baitfish flies. Using the Bob Popovics (RIP!) hollow tie method often in these. Larger Clousers are staple patterns, good when the wind picks up or in heavy current but generally prefer fishing the hollow fleyes. The big flies would work great on tarpon when keyed in on pogies.

I don’t see why not.

Start with a 4-6” white hollow fleye (follow Bob Popovics instructions - Gunnar Brammer on YouTube has a ton of great instructional videos) and commit to throwing it nonstop… it’ll get bit.
