Wanaflatsfish
All, Had my first battery failure on the MK Ulterra yesterday....I always carry extra batteries...be sure to keep a few extras in your tackle bag... The remote would not connect to the TM and it would not steer or move. The batteries were the originals....but, I was glad to have the extras.... JEM
For the same reasons you stated, I bought a backup remote ........just in case. It would be a real pain in the butt if the remote went out and it wasn't a battery issue.
Intheslot12
Dino, If you remember correctly on our maiden trip you told me to make sure I have either an extra remote for the TM and PP or extra batteries. Thankfully I have always carried them as I have had to change them out on the water. Good advice again.
ChasinSnook
My experience of late with the TM remotes is carry extra of extra batteries, I have only seen about 2-3 trips and they are dead.....I carry at least 3 new batteries for each of the 2 TM remotes I have and no more issues............EXTRA is good. linesider 159
I have an extra remote and a footpedal. Never had to use it but nice to have. The foot pedal is actually nice when sightfishing
Bamaskeet
Next time you think your batteries are dead, try slapping the remote on your thigh. Often, it's not the battery but poor contact.

Limitless
The foot control is great. I got tired of spending the majority of my time driving with the remote while others on the boat fished so I picked one up.
