Dunski8
I own a 1991 18' Redfisher and in the bow in front of the fuel tank seems to retain water and it is not able to drain out the rear. Is there anything I should be looking for or and blockage in some drains? Where are the drains and how can I get to them? Please help!
Dale Nelson
Should just drain under the fuel tank to the bilge. Try running a wire under the tank and see if something didn't find its way in there.
Dunski8
@Dale Nelson Thanks, I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see what happens.
MuddyBottomBluz
I belive that there is a small bulkhead in front of the tank the is only about 6" high. If the water is being held in front of this bulkhead then the 2 small drain holes in this bulkhead are clogged. As Dale mentioned; the gas tank sits almost flush with the deck and accumalates crap under it that prevents water from flowing under it. I raised mine about a 1/4" and flush it out routinely.
