wthree3
I tried contacting Angler house last year when I needed a slip and the manager would never return my call. Got the impression they were not open to the public.

Any other suggestions on a safe place to keep a boat? Thank you

Brent B
I am staying at Sands of Islamorda. Stayed there last year and I was just there last weekend. Nice place, nice owners. Great tournament. Awesome ride to Flamingo from Islamorada. Soooooooo Now to the main question.....how will Irma effect the tournament? Still on? Cancelled? Rescheduled? Man I hope its still on. I will drive down early to help repair if needed!
DblPly
I guess we will see how much damage they have... I'm in St. Cloud and getting rain and light wind... If it happens we're still in and will go down on Sunday... I'm with you... I have tools and gear and am more than happy to help fix things and cleanup... wthree3
The Breezy Palms facebook page had a few posts from them Sat afternoon. Said there was waves up to the large tiki hut and pics that showed water even with the top of the docks.
SkinnyH2O
Anyone hear from or know anything about Breezy yet, besides the high waves and flooded dock??
Capt. Troy
There is very little chance of anyone going to the Keys in the coming weeks. The may not even let residents back in this week. Big trouble with the infrastructure. There is no power, sewer, water or cell communication. Lots of destruction. wthree3
Reported on the Breezy Facebook page.....5-6 inches of water in the lower rooms, docks gone, tiki huts pretty much gone. No major damage to the structures.
DblPly
I'm sure Elliott will make the call soon on whether we go, cancel, or reschedule... The Double Play crew wishes everyone affected by the storm best of luck in recovering...

slyshon
Elliott is out of town and for obvious reasons having a hard time getting back. As stated above the Florida Keys are in bad shape including the Breezy Palms Resort, not official as of yet but this event will have to be cancelled. Upon Elliott's return we will meet and speak with the Breezy, would like to come up with a plan as a group to help them out, they need it. DblPly
I will take vacation next week in either case. I'll step up to go down and do whatever I can... I look forward to hearing how we can help...
Nail-em
I agree with Skip..as a whole we can provide a lot of support for these folks that were hit the hardest! I had reservations for the entire week next door at The Sands.. I left message for them on Friday to move my reservation to whatever date that would be best for them! I would be there to help them with rebuilding, cleanup, whatever they need! I have already spread out the resources that I had stocked up...fuel, water, food, generators It's what we do as good neighbors! Andy
Moderator
Got some phone pics from Breezy.. Larry stayed on the property during landfall. Docks are gone, property is wrecked, but the buildings are intact. Larry and the Owner are good at restoring the resort, but there is no chance for this year's OT..
