fin-addict
have had my 03 2200v for several years now. am puzzled by this. maybe someone has the answer. since purchasing the boat awhile back and taking delivery of it I notice when cleaning out the forward stb. locker of items the owner left behind items were very damp or wet. cleaned out, aired out. port locker bone dry. put item I wanted in stb. locker that would not be used much or for guests short term use for that reason. each time I open that locker, the same, items damp or wet. what gives. both stb. and port lockers appear the same and both leads into the lg. center front storage locker which is always dry as is the port locker. any ideas or thoughts as to why this is taking place. thanks, fin
SCFD rtrd.
I have a rod locker that gets wet. Mine is leaking from around the latch. I know there is a rubber washer incorporated in the latch system that probably needs changing. If you have recessed latches, open the hatch just enough so you can see underneath, then pour about 2 oz. of water into the recess and see if it leaks through the latch. bernieNC
None of mine are "water tight". They all get a few drops no matter how careful I am. Not to mention moisture from the bilge, which seems to stay wet whatever you do.

MIne leaked from one locker latch handle when brand new. If the O-ring is in good shape you can seal it by tightening up the tension nut on the screw shaft. If it's toast, it's not difficult to replace.
