Chuck59
I have a 2003 Redfisher 16. The owners manual describes a built in Lowrance Transducer. I want to mount a Humminbird Helix and as planning to mount the transducer in the hull and shoot thru. The Lowrance transducer appears to be a shoot thru but not sure. it certainly doesn't appear to be a thru hull. Can anyone enlighten me? Bamaskeet
In the early to mid 2000's, MBG installed shoot thru Lowrance transducers in many of their models. My 2004 2200V has one. I used it until about five years ago when it finally quit working. That also gave me an reason to upgrade.

smilemaker
Transducers are probably more important than the unit itself just like great speakers in a stereo. The shoot thru in my 04 22te still works but the signal is not what it used to be. The helix will need much better especially if a mega unit and sides scan will definitely no work with it.
