Wings1856
Hey guys! Just brought up the Pathy up from Destin where it's been living for 14 years. She's running good but needs some TLC. I have lots of plans including a re-wire in the console, instrument panel, engine gauge refurbish, t-top fabric, new vinyl, trolling motor, GPS fishfinder, VHF, LEDs, and adding a tilt out back rest to the front of the center console. I've already serviced the engine and lower unit and right now I'm painting the engine cover. Changed out fuel water separator and bracket. Next I'm gonna cut a hole in the front of the console. I really need to figure out this tilt out back rest thing. I think I can build one out of 1/2 Starboard for around $100. Not including vinyl. I'll be posting my progress. Any help would be great. Wings1856
Thanks guys! It is a labor of love. The boat was my father in laws and we had it at the family place in Destin. Unfortunately he came down with Parkinson's and could not use the boat. The motor had less than 100 hrs on it but fell into disrepair quickly so I bought it from him and started work. I had a job change during that time so it has taken about a year and a half to get it to this point. I hope to get him out in it soon. We are a family of five so we will probably upgrade in the next couple years. So keep a look out here when I sell it.
bprat1900v
I know this topic is almost a year old, but this is pretty similar with what I want to do with mine, minus the T-top. Where were you able to get the new pathfinder decals? My hull side is blue and the lettering and stripes are gold. Haven’t been able to find anything. I’m about to repower mine with a new F150. Adding a pair of simrads, a sonic hub, ipilot, and a few other things. Also replacing the very sun faded switch panel with a new one, as it has gauge holes which I will not be using, as I’m networking the motor to one of the simrads. MBGNole
BPrat- I also had a hard time finding the decals for my 1900V. I found the Pathfinder logo here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/263242738538. They use Oracal 651 material like most places and the decals turned out good. They took a few extra days to ship, but for $18, I was happy with them. I could not find anyone with the 1900V decal, so I decided to print my own. I took a picture of the original worn decal on my boat and used a graphics program to clean it up. I then used a Cricut machine to cut it out of the Oracal vinyl. The turned out great. I posted the image file in the Pathfinder product information section here. You should be able to download it and get anyone you know who has a Cricut machine to cut them out for you. It will just cost you the price of the vinyl, which isn't much. I hope this helps.
