hawg
I'm running a 2010 Yamaha F40 on my 15' HPXV. The prop is a PowerTech 10.25 diameter/11 Pitch (REB3R11P-YS50). It will turn 6000 RPM with a light load, around 5500 RPM fully loaded. The hole-shot is adequate but nothing to write home about. Top end is 30 MPH. Cruise is 25MPH. Boat gets 8 miles per gallon at cruise.
polliwog
I am running the OEM F 40 Yamaha 2006 prop. I get the same results as hawg 30 MPH and cruise at 25 mph. I think that is what this motor has the capability to perform. I checked the prop for numbers, but can't find them n the blade. I run mostly by myself. fishing212
Thanks for the update. I'm going with the 11 or 12 pitch prop so I have better control while cornering. I think that is the "all around" best option for the F40.

fishing212
I couldn't find the exact size I wanted so went with the 11 1/8 X 13. I'm going to purchase another prop with less pitch for better hole shot. It's always good to have a backup incase I hit a tree again!!
