billablehours
Hello all. I have had it with the Lowrance 28C chart plotter/ fishfinder that came on my 2200 XL. It’s hard to read, convoluted to use and doesn’t read the depth well at speed. I bought a new Garmin Echomap Plus 94SV with a CV51M-TM transducer. I had considered buying a tilted element through hull transducer but the GPS store convinced me that this transom mount functions really well. Attached is a picture of where my Lowrance transducer is located. Is this the best place for the new transducer on the XL version of the 2200? Im not sure why the photos are sideways. Sorry. Bamaskeet
I think you will find the best transducer performance will be mounting the transducer next to the drain plug and mounting the side scan transducer where your current transducer is mounted. billablehours
It is just the one Transducer. The issue I see down by the drain plug is that there is a pick up down there.
