Funraiser1
Hi, While doing some PM this weekend, I noticed that 4-5 ( out of 12-13) of the screws around the base of the center console on my 2000 1900V are no longer holding. When I tried tigthening them, they just spun, stripped. Are these essential or are they put in during manufacturing to secure the CC to the deck until the glue bonds? Any suggestions on what to do next?
Lap it Up
This is a common failure on older Pathfinders. The console will eventually come loose if it isn't already. The best fix is to glass the console down from the inside of the console. PM BradM, I believe he did his 1900.
Funraiser1
OK, That's a big job. I would have to take out my troll motor batteries and house batt #2 temporarily. I have noticed some water on the deck under there, not sure if it's leaking in from above or not though.
