Poppit valve grommit

I went to change to poppit valve on my 2000 150 V-Max. During the removal, I accidentally pryed the grommit into the engine instead of out. I was unable to see it with a light and tried blind sweeping with a pic and bent coat hanger with no luck. What would be your next step? Removing the exhaust manifold? Pulling the lower unit and hoping it fell down the exhaust? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you guys in advance.

I have done this once before on a 130 V4 Yamaha.  I hooked water to the hose hook up and had someone turn the water on full blast. I watched it float up and I grabbed it with a pick.
