CaptDavis
What security cameras do you have, and do you like them. I can't do wired, so do I go wireless or wifi? Do I need a subscription based in order to get the better video?
FROZEN
Capt., Check out Wyze Cam. They need power (no battery yet), and WiFi, but can record on a microchip or to the Wyze cloud(free), has motion and sound detection, email alerts, night vision (not the greatest but works), etc. and more. And they are only $20.00 each. I’m up to seven at second home and dock. You can buy outdoor mounts for them which work as they are designed to be indoor cams. Can’t go wrong to try before spending $hundreds, might be adequate for you.
BradM
I have a couple of Wi-Fi game cameras that work well. I may not get there in time to stop you, but I'll know what you look like, what you drove and when you were there.
nsbpathfinder
We've used the Arlo Pro camera setup. You get 7 days of cloud storage free.
jim33042
x2 on Frozen’s response. They have aftermarket housing to help as the cameras are not waterproof (mine are under the house eaves and I didn’t have any problems when they were ‘exposed’). They also recently added motion detection via person with notifications for person motion only.
hurricane
Just wondering why you can't do wired? I get it if its complete lack of access, but if its a power issue. Check out PoE IP security systems. All you have to run is one Ethernet cable and power is provided via that cable along with the video. Also the quality is great.
