FMB MEGALOPS Posted October 23, 2019 Report Posted October 23, 2019 Holy cream puff!!! Very nicely taken care of...Looks like it may be sold already!
whichwaysup Posted October 23, 2019 Report Posted October 23, 2019 Now that seems like the perfect boat for TB. Love to see these in such great shape!
Capt. Troy Posted October 24, 2019 Report Posted October 24, 2019 I know this boat and the seller. You will be very hard pressed to find one in better shape than this one. It won't last long! I need to let him borrow mine long enough to clean it up like his.
rasteve Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 What would handle less than perfect weather (say 2r to 3foot chop) —. This boat or a 2002 Redfisher 21. I fish upper Tampa Bay but would like to run south to say Gandy without having to worry about wind kicking up. I would also like to run from say Honeymoon Island up to Anclote. I currently have a Tailfisher 17 and love it but find I am quite limited on windy choppy days!
whichwaysup Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 The redfisher is a great boat, by all accounts, but the MA hull is legendary . . . I suspect that you will get some passionate responses.

Going on 20 years of guiding out of the 2 I have owned in the areas that you speak of. I fished the bay yesterday and ran from Gandy to down town Tampa around Macdill. It was blowing 20 at daylight. The weekend before I fished out of the Vinoy and it was really blowing. Managed to catch a lot of fish in 2 days in some crazy wind.
rasteve Posted November 5, 2019 Report Posted November 5, 2019 Thanks for those who replied to my question. I fell in love with the maverick brand a while back reading about them and reading what those who owned them had to say about them. One of the major reasons I purchased my Tailfisher was due to the Hewes / Maverick association it will be a little while before I will be able to buy so I will have to get lucky and hope this boat or one similar is around when I am ready!
DaveC Posted November 8, 2019 Report Posted November 8, 2019 That is a pretty awesome rig! Got to say that is the boat of my dreams right there... I'd love to have a chat, I have a freshly redone 2000' 17'MA new everything, thoughts?
captpn Posted November 8, 2019 Author Report Posted November 8, 2019 Sold to the first guy to see it. Its off to Savannah.
